Nice one Nito! How would you describe the tank detailing?

    Cheers Goldencapo...

It's welded, rivetted, painted then lightly burnished steel giving it a raw zombie apocalypse look. It's a matt finish although it looks a bit glossier on their dedicated website which has some great pics on it, if it were to be polished with wax it would soon get a sheen, not sure whether I'll do that or not, the nice thing about polishing it is that it will be a natural patina sheen that develops giving it more character, either way it looks great. I really like it.

Diavel being Italian dialect for Devil, it has been produced as a limited edition of 666 units to reflect the three six letter words Ducati Diavel Diesel* (*Italian design brand not a reference to being an oil burner ) and of course the number of the Beast. It features the DDD pyramid in a couple of places and looks and sounds like a Bat out of Hell (hopefully it'll go like one too!). Thanks to it's long wheelbase, 240 section tyre and torque, it has clocked a 2.6 second 0-60 time making it one of the fastest accelerating production bikes and a quarter mile in 10.4 seconds. It is supposed to handle and brake well too but I haven't even ridden it yet, it's sat in the cave currently with 1 mile on the odo!! I'm really looking forward to the maiden voyage, even if I@ll be restricted to 6.5k rpm for the next 1000km's.

    According to Ducati

"Designed by the Ducati Design Center and Creative Director of Diesel Licences Andrea Rosso, the Diavel Diesel was inspired by a 'hyperkinetic dynamism of a post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic world.'
The Ducati Diavel Diesel features hand-brushed steel superstructures with visible welds and rivets, making it absolutely unique and timeless. Details such as the tank cover, the headlight fairing and the passenger seat cover are examples of craftsmanship and style."

Steam punk? Love the fact they are producing only 666!
I imagine those first 1000ks will be despatched smartish, shame you can't use the Llandovery trip to burn a few off.

Lol, I was going to say steam punk and in fact I did describe it as this over on the Tuonoworld site!

It would be lovely to take it to Llandovery except; a) no storage space and b) if it were to rain lol!

Having spent the last 800km's running in the 750R, this should be a doddle as 6.5k should still give plenty.

    Cheers

I ride my Caponord locally to keep her purring nicely, but I travel on my 2015 Yamaha FZ07 (30k miles) ... since wearing the 1st knee out. 165 lbs lighter is a LOT!!! :-)

Anyway, here are some links to photo albums of me & Ms.Fzzz. And a lot of friends & family on those trips.

2015 Summer Trip thru California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alberta, & British Columbia with my summer travel partner.

Track Days on FZ07, & with my best track day partner!

Yes, I'm mostly happily married for 41 years ... to neither of them! :-)

The 2016 Cross-Country Trip to see everyone & Mom's Birthday in Philly! There's even a Stu cameo towards the end of this one.

You should be SICK of Catfish & FZ07s by NOW, right?!? ;-)

I've spent some happy (mostly envious) minutes going through these links Catfish, what amazing scenery, thanks for posting! I'm meant to be coming out to Mill Valley Ca this September to do some riding with one of my little bros, sadly one of my children is proving adept at spending my holiday money so I may not get to do it - frustrating after seeing these pictures.
    Thanks
