It still looks pretty much the same. I put the comment because it seems to be a halfway house between a Tuono R and a Tuono R racing. The front fairing has the yellow number plate sticker around the headlight, the tank is obviously a racing version and the red OZ wheels are not the norm. The frame is straight and it doesn't look like it's been down the road (if it has been then it's been very lucky because the sticky out bits generally look good - ie foot pegs, pillion pegs, body panels, radiator, handlebars, grips etc).

It does look a bit of a bitsa, some bits unique to the Limited R are the black seat subframe, black footrest hangers, black front headlight fairing frame, stainless steel oil tank (some Mille's also) carbon/Kevlar bodywork and air scoops, bronze wheels, matt gold frame and other parts but the best way to tell if it's an original is to check the frame number against the register on page one, it should end in 022.

It's definitely a Tuono R model as the frame ends in 22, the subframe is black, the oil tank is stainless, it's fitted with carbon and Kevlar bodywork, the frame is matt gold, the top yoke is stamped with an official number etc

It's deffo a Tuono R model. It has the black subframe, black front headlight fairing frame, stainless oil tank, carbon/ Kevlar body panels, OZ wheels, gold frame and official number stamped on the top yoke. Will try to post more images when the system allows.

Looking at this thread I might repaint the wheels on mine. Not sure whether to go for bronze, black or gold. What's others peoples thoughts on this?

Black. Like the last one posted. Too much gold looks glitzy.

FWIW one is just about to come on the market in Oz again.....asking price is $15K. Has the SBK Full 2-2 exhaust and other than that is std. Has approx 5k kms on it from memory. It was one of 10 imported into Australia. 9 are left as far as I'm aware, as I heard one got written off within a week of ownership years ago.

Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!

So what was the division of bikes sold in the US and other countries? The one chance I ever had to even see one in person was at a dealership here in Southern California, and it was a bike bought by a collector, who didn't even intend to ride it. I always have my eye out for one though.
