I think this is just yet another damn good tip on this brilliant forum!

Well done Gab and Dan, I shall be doing this mod to my bike as well soon enough.

Great thread! Learned a bit more about the mysterious pneumatic clutch!

Does anyone know the size of the vacuum hoses, and the size of the check valves and T's needed to make the double valve modification?
I am away from home for a couple of weeks now, but the parts are easy to get a hold of here in this area.

    57mm Siemens Injectors chip

Just received our chip for the Tuono Racing which we've fitted with late 57 TB's. Fuel pump activates - But it appears we don't have an injector signal. Nomenclature on the chip is puzzling and I've e-mailed Gab - but in the meantime has anyone done one of these and does this prom look familiar?

I did it but the EPROM I got was labeled A2BF instead of AE40. I'm wondering if the nomenclature has to do with a checksum or other value from the EPROM's .bin file. It looks like it could be hexadecimal code. A2BF converted from Hex to Dec is 41663 and AE40 is 44608.
Are you using a test light on the injector wires or are the injectors hooked up and not squirting fuel? Could the injectors be clogged? What injector plug adapters are you using to go from the Denso harness to the Siemens injectors?

Whatever the nomenclature is, there's no injector drive. We have 4 ECU''s - a quick swap shows LED noids firing with any of the other ECU's. Swapped the prom over as well and no pulse. Interesting the fuel pump activates and we have ignition, there just isn't anything on the injector side.

I sent Gab an e-mail with the same photos and results.

What did you use to cap the IAC holes? Set screws? Looks very tidy.

Dan's chip is a special version of the Fiona chip. instead of 2 different injection tables Dan's chip has 2 different ignition.

the code is the .bin file checksum (that's the faster way to search for bin file in the hard-drive )

    @Boris:
sometimes chips get damaged during shipping. starting from about 1 year ago the number of chip damaged increased a lot... i suppose the post service now inspect the evelope with some sort of ray machinery that sometime kill or partially damage the chip.

    gonna ship a new one

Just wondering how does fitting a second check valve make the clutch action lighter, is this the same with the gen 1 throttle bodies ?

love to know that one 2, my clutch is heavy as is but to make it easier as said with this mod without slipping would be nice to know what's needed, any further pics on how to achieve this, for a lay mans guide, cheers,

Sorry to say but how do all you guys find this clutch so heavy on this bike?? It's an hydraulic clutch for fook sake!!

If you want a heavy clutch go and use an old bevel ducati cable clutch for a change....now that's heavy but not insurmountable! Seriously I reckon computers, ipads, iphones, have made all you young blokes wimps!!

As an after thought of the above maybe wank a bit more to build the strength in your wrists, as the Ape clutch is not HEAVY at all!!!

Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!

it doubles the number of vacoum pulsation, so the average pressure is less.

yes, the mod can be done on Igen too, but only from '00 onwards... first production TB's had no front cylinder plugged connection.
