    Exclamation '10 rsv4r idle issue

good day guys, i managed after having an few issues with my 2010 rsv4 to finally start it up for the first time in a while on sunday but i have a concern...

when the bike started the revs went straight up to 3k rpm, and held there for a while, they then increased to 5k and then started to idle lumpy and bike was swiftly turned off after this. before starting the bike noticed the battery wasn't strong enuff to start the bike on its own power so jumper cables attached to a car battery (car was off) was used to jump start the bike...

also after bike was shut off it appears that the voltage regulator wasn't connected properly...i have plugged it in properly, but haven't attempted to start the bike since then cause i would prefer to purchase a new battery first.

can someone here assist me as to what would be the cause of this problem?

Dont worry nothing strange , on your bike all the bikes when it has too long to start they go in 3000 rpm and after drops to 500k, so dont worry its normal procedure go and buy a new battery and enjoy that bitch ...

Definately not normal behavior what lamphant is describing.
High and increassing speed, with lumpy idle is not normal nor acceptable.

I plan to enjoy it once I get her sorted, but in my msg I stated the revs increased from 3000-5000rpm. Really don't think that shit is normal

lumpy idle could be bad gas.

Gas in tank since january this year but the gas we get here is somewhat crappy in quality so it could be bad by now
