waited another rainy day for the completion of my smaltmoto g3 manifold, to be installed with BOS mufflers (04 rsv 1000r), open airbox and pcIII set up on a dyno.
falco has been completely stock (only derestricted)...letīs see, what a difference a g3 makes 8) (somewhen in summer...)

Wow, what a difference in feeling and handling flipping the brackets made. The bike also suits my 6'5" frame a lot better.

The Falco Passed its MOT today with a clean bill of health NO Advisories

I asked the MOT Inspector to really go over the bike as its off to a new owner. As id rather have a list of advisories to warn the new owner or consider making good before I hand it over.

So yeah all sound with nothing to worry about lol
Its nice to pass it on with a clean bill of health.

Installed my Oberon clutch slave and Hel braided clutch line. I'm yet to be fully convinced that it's an easier pull at the lever (maybe ~10-15%). I have my brother's Falco in my garage at the mo and so i can compare his OEM rubber clutch line and OEM slave setup against my newly installed system. Like i said, i reckon there's not much diff btwx the two.

I spent some time trying out KZMille's reverse bleeding method on the new clutch slave but i couldn't get the line to stay on the nipple under the pressure of my syringe. There's nothing like that wretched dot4 fluid spurting/exploding out of the line end (over my bike and legs) to focus the mind on a quick clean up job ... bloody hate that brake fluid stuff.

Reverted to my trusty Mityvac and the job was done in 5 minutes.

Update: Took my bike for a decent test ride; I'm still not convinced that the pull at the lever is significantly easier (maybe a bit) but i think the gear change is better/cleaner/smoother. Who knows, it might only be a result of the fresh bleed and so i guess the whole thing hasn't been a complete waste of time and $s.

Covered her 24,000th mile... once I'd refilled and bled the clutch! Where did all the fluid go? Now booked in for major service, brake bleed and fork oil change (big ouch) in readiness for Oulton Park later this month.

Fixed a small coolant leak from one of the OE clamps on the return line T junction - just fwd of the refil neck. Bloody awkward spot (behind the frame) to be working. Seems to have halted the leak though ... so it's all good

What did you do with your Falco today?

Not necessarily all done today, but within the last week I've done quite a bit!
    1. Put her up on the rack and replaced the tires with Mich Pilot Road 4's
    2. Completely cleaned the chain and tighten
    3. Cleaned the throttle body and airbox, then installed a K&N air filter
    4. Replaced factory chip with Gabro's
    5. Removed the clutch, scuffed the steel plates, and fix any imperfections
    6. Replaced spark plugs
    7. Bled the clutch line
    8. Ordered a spare key
    9. Installed an FE
    10. Then finally, gave her a bath 😄

Converted my current LeoVince cans to stubby-ish cans (cut off 5 inches) 👍

I'm glad you like the look, but I suspect you are going to see a performance decrease, particularly in the mid range, by shortening your cans. There is a reason all of the major manufactures made the exhausts basically the same length, because it offered the best performance. If they could have made them shorter and lighter and gotten better performance while using less material don't you think they would have?

Although you "may" be right, I wasn't going for performance. It was more of a personal preference; it pleases my eyes, and stupid oblivious drivers will hear me sooner. It is really not that much shorter anyhow; originally 19", now 14". I noticed no power loss, and honestly, after installing Gabro's chip, I've noticed nothing but gains.
