Did the first 600 mile oil service last night. There was a very small amount of metal sludge on the drain plug. I've read that's typical for break in. I was reading the manual and it says not to exceed 8500 rpm until 1200 miles. I'm not really following that so I might change the oil again at 1200 miles to be safe then go about the normal 6k intervals. I guess the easiest way to see what's going on is do is test the oil next time.

Got around to installing the Aprilia USB accessory on my 17 Tuono. Pretty easy with a dremel and some patience.

Did the 600 mile service last weekend. Then added the race map. I got the akra pipe in and installed yesterday. I was worried it wasn't going to be as loud as I want. It's tame but still has a nice sound during acceleration and engine braking. Click image for larger version.

i have a puig Z double bubble i wanted to install, but backed off realizing that it's maybe NOT the windscreen i want-need.i want something that will get me free of any windblast at torso-head level....maybe a powerbronze would be better suited for my needs...but i can't find accurate specs concerning the powerbronze units available for the tuono,so i can't compare the puig VS powerbronze....

I posted in there, too, explaining the difference.

PS What's with the warning stickers?

Did the 36,000 mile tuneup. Valve adjustment, air filter, spark plugs, cleaned chain with kerosene, mounted new Pirelli Rosso Corsa 200/55 tire, and changed the engine coolant. It’s good to be retired.

I really can’t wait to throw an exhaust on mine, but I’ll have to be happy with fixing a few things and a light mod. Replaced a fried starter relay and installed the Euro headlight harness. Thanks AF1!

I'll definitely look into that. I have a smaller than legal number plate so I should have slightly better clearance.
That's a poor design on R&Gs part if this is happening!
