    SR50 Factroy hard to start

Hello! I have a 07 SR50 Factory piaggio engine, and when i want to start it iam forced to twist the throttle mybe 1/3 of WOT, and then its starts, idles to about 1k RPM, then dies. I do the procedure maybe 2-3 times and then its starts and idles to 2k RPM and its like normal. I have a polini airfilter and its fully derestricted. Does somebody know why it does this?

Try a TPS re-set and see if that helps. Instructions can be found in the Sticky "Read Me First!"

Do a soapy water test/check of the air line from the compressor to the Fuel Rail. If that shows that you have no leaks (even tiny leaks), then, check Fuel and Air Pressure and report your numbers. You can use a home made gauge like in the picture below.

But the problem now is that it doesnt start at all, the fuelpump is priming and the startmotor runs, but she doesnt even cough. Can it be the fuelpump? I accidentally drove maybe 500 meters without the fuelcap completely on.

test petrol pump pressure, I usually use air gauges for it. Check the spark plugs. Use the tester and not the spark plug to the engine, you can enlarge the ht coil otherwise.

Fuel cap doesn't enter into your issues... I would do as Grenadiers suggests..

I had a bad check valve in the pump, then it was difficult starts. You can blow it, sometimes it helps.

I have spark, and she starts sometimes, i did ride to a friend yesterday and back home, but this morning she didnt start again. So me and my father started checking everything, and when we pulled the fuelhoses from the injectors and put them back in she started, but only once :S And its seems i have water in the aircompressor, we are going to clean all the injectors tomorrow.

Install a Water Trap in the Air line... That will take care of the water on the air side.

Glad to hear, but it won't last long... "goo" (a mixture of water and T-2 oil) will once again build up and clog the injector. This "goo" does NOT burn and can and does cause all kinds of starting and running issues. The only way to prevent that is by installing a Water Trap.

A Water Trap (see the Sticky: "Read Me First!" and run a search for more info) is placed in the Air Compressor line between the Air Compressor pump and the Fuel Rail.

You will need to replace the Air line with new Fuel Injector hose of the same or close size and it will need to be long enough so that you can mount the Water Trap in a convenient location so that you can clean it out from time to time.

Also, use Fuel Injector Hose Clamps and NOT the standard worm-screw style. That style tends to bite into the hose and cause leaks.

Did you do a soapy water test to the air line on your bike?

She did run pretty good until this morning, when she just died and didnt start again. Iam trying to find a watertrap here in sweden but its not easy. I havent tried the soapy water test to the airline, but there was some white-ish water/fuel(?) mixture in the airline, what is that?
