Tried to go out a run after work to get some miles up after rebuild and before i head for TT in a week but hey presto couldn't get running for more than 2 mins, so thought stick a 46 on for when she does decide to work and found rear wheel spindle bent, total bitch to get out

On the plus side the postman had been today and had left me my sprag items along with a new fox V3 Monster lid, oakley mayhem goggles with red inferno lens and a pair of monster alpinestars sumo gloves

You'll have to post a pic of you in your gear on the bike when you get it going, curious if that all matches?

Motor and gearbox oil change, tyre pressures checked, went for a nice 75km blast, filled the tank, went back home with a huge smile on my face.
In no way affiliated to that helmet company by the same name....

Not today, but this weekend I raced in the Qld Supermoto Championship in the S1 and Veterans (over 35) class. The Qld series is the most competitive series in Australia and this year the level of competition has increased hugely. This weekend was the final round of the series in the northern part of the state, approximately 1800km from home for people in the south of the state. I was very happy to walk away with 5th overall for both classes as I had a few zero point races due to a large crash in the earlier round.

As per usual, the SXV 550 performed faultlessly, which is more than can be said for the rider who forgot to add fuel causing an easily avoided DNF!

Thanks to all the competitors, officials for some great racing and thanks to my supporters: Duke Racing, www.moto-extremes.com, Snap Fitness Caloundra and Übermoto Graphics

Next big event for us is the Australian championship, it's looking like being a great event with riders attending from all over the country.

Just picked up 08 and everyone had me scared about the stator bolts so cracked open case and checked. All tight and in place super snug. Now planning to check clutch basket bolt. Adjusted the idle today also and it sounds fantastic now compared to the first time it sounded like a bag of screws bouncing in a blender. 1950 miles on the clock...

Daws, congrts on being up front. Years ago a friend was sand dragging and a sudden loss of power. Fuel was off. He was so pissed.

Spent a crap load getting the engine rebuilt to as new spec- now has noticeably more power.
Took it to a nearby kart track and ripped through a new set of slicks.

I think it is now "run in".
