Finally got my track bikes out of storage from the long winter. Fresh fluids and they are ready to rip.

When using the asym linkage, the stop on the rear throttle body is supposed to be replaced with a longer unit with a jam nut. It gets adjusted to provide balanced vacuum at idle and holds the rear throttle body open the correct amount with a closed throttle. Without this being done correctly, the rear throttle body will be fully closed for the first 10% of throttle preventing any air from entering with the injected fuel. There is a good write up on this site somewhere.
Thanks, that's exactly the issue. it's been a while since I was doing this procedure last time))))

with usual link and Alice SXV map engine runs fine
with 15026 map and std link it also runs stable at idle and revs, but not smooth, which is expected. I know that it was running fine with VDB link before with 15026, however that was different set of TBs I think...
will try tomorrow to figure it out....

Correct procedure is to sync the TB with the stock linkage and note the TPS value with the idle set correctly.
    - Remove the rear throttle stop screw and fit a longer one with a locknut on the top,
    - Adjust the screw until it just touches the rear throttle arm,
    - Tighten the locknut,
    - Make sure that the TPS value has not changed,
    - Remove the stock link and fit the VDB link.
    - Try not to loose little parts in the airbox

The popular misconception with fitting the link is that the rear throttle body is closed until 10%, it is at idle until 10%.

that's all making sense as in my case I completely forgot the rear screw and therefore was running only on front cylinder at idle and filling the rear with fuel)))
now everything is back to normal
    thanks everyone for the help!!!

I made it about 2 miles from my house when my 450 stalled, was hard to restart, and ran horribly as I turned around and went home. Looking around the motor at obvious items it took me a few minutes to find the culprit. Glad it didn't happen farther away.

one 550 engine (first gen) got main shredded keys on crank replaced and should be back in the race bike this week,

the second 550 engine (2008 weak cases) got heads lapped and reinstalled, though I have no clue where I've put one of the cam sprockets Z22 , it was attached with the tie to the chain before head installation, but was removed to ease the gasket and head installation and disappeared(((
once new clutch basked and missing Z22 sprocket will arrive, then 2nd bike will be also put together as a spare or rain one.

replaced cases bushings in my friends bike. Those are nasty ones - I just don't understand policy of Aprilia, which makes those bushings.

    I used
AP9150324 (green) bushings, as cases are A and crank is B. Took bushings out, part number on them was the same, but coloured dot was not that obvious. It was something between green and blue. I just have to have hope. that this bushing is right, as on plastic bag, were written correct part number and colour...

Btw, from my observation, 1 ton is enough to push out old bushings.

Printed part numbers on the bearings are all the same because the number is for the unfinished shell. Colors get assigned after finishing and measuring.
