What did you do to your bike today?

As a follow-up and offshoot of "how many coats of wax?" this is what I did to my bike today. This is one of my favorite threads on another forum.

Finally did the mosfet upgrade to the charging system. It is now 14-14.5 at all rpms.

Added a 6 position terminal block for easy additions and removal of powered farkles.

Said terminal is powered by a 30A relay located here. All wires in and out for accessories run through the new "loom".

Added a regular 12V socket. And yes, I will be replacing the white zip tie with a black one in the near future.

My wife gave me this Powerlet 3-4 years ago and I finally installed.

Worked like crazy to get everything under here so you could almost eat off it. I am now in agreement with the Taiwanese government that spitting out your gum should be punishable by caining.

    Another view.

So, what did you do to your bike today?

Fitted the new ignition coil then realised that the battery was a little too flat to start the bike, so it's now charging, ready for the first proper ride of the year later today.

Checked both grounds and treated with DeOxit and Stabilant 22. Checked the starter connection. Cleaned everything under the fairings and screwed 'em back on. Wiped down the whole bike. In the last month, I replaced the boot on the clutch MC, I cleaned the throttle body throats and air box, cleaned and re-treated my EVO air filter, changed spark plugs, cleaned oily RR connections, and cleaned/lubed the suspension linkage, among other things! Waiting for my new front tire and will mount it before I go for my first ride of the season!

Put the fully charged battery back in and went to do a little shopping, with a 50 mile detour thrown in for fun. Weather was gloroious and Dartmoor was looking as beautiful as ever.

Rode it to work. I was not given a 70 degree day in mid March to waste!

planning on acc fusebox, 12v power outlet, looking at risers/heli/convirta bars, and continuing to put on the miles. Wind has been a pain recently, 35+mph gusts all day

The system filters out the thoughtful and replaces them with the faithful. It has to: in war and business, whenever conflict and competition are fierce, dissent is costly and inefficient.

I'm just plain jealous!! I still have too much mud to get the bike out of my basement (at least the snow is gone)...will have to wait for a morning with frozen ground. I know it will happen even though this March weather is crazy!
