    Some questions

    Hi all,

I've had my Mana for just over a month and enjoy riding the hell out of it I do have a few questions to ask though (waiting on the owners manual to be sent to me):
    1. Is there a gas gauge that shows the amount of fuel in the tank (e.g., F, 1/2, E) or does the fuel light come on as gas gets below a certain level and that's you're only indicator?
    2. When the refuel light comes on, how many miles does one have remaining until you run dry (yes I know it depends)?
    3. From time to time, the readings on the dash change (e.g., from ODO to MPG to average time...), is this normal?

First there is no fuel gauge. Only a low fuel light which is supposed to come on when only 8/10 of a gallon remains. In order to stay above that level, I always reset the trip miles after refueling. I usually go around 100 to 120 miles then refuel just to be safe. I get 45 to 50 MPG so I could go further before refueling - and at times I had to since there were no gas stations around. As far as the readings on the dash go, I have accidentally hit the button above the turn signal lever when trying to turn off the signal which changed the dash display. It's the button that displays odometer, trip miles, trip time etc. I didn't know I did it at the time but noticed it later.

You only get 35 MPG on your Mana? You must be riding the hell out of it!!

Worth mentioning that about 2 miles after the gas light triggers, the display automatically switches over to a trip computer that shows the amount of miles traveled since the gas light went on.

    Hey durdle,

lol, I have it in sport mode at the moment so my take offs are...ummm...quick Thanks for the info regarding the fuel gauge, I thought that I was missing something. So far, only filled up twice, so I'm sure (or should I say, I hope) my MPGs will improve

    Hi mllcb42,

I'm glad you mentioned this because I did notice and wasn't 100% sure what was happening.

    Hi mllcb42,

Out of curiosity, are you going off the mpg gauge on the dash or actually measuring based on miles traveled/gas put in the bike?

Mine stays in sport gear, and usually says on the computer it's getting 35-40 mpg, but actually gets 45-50 based on miles traveled/actual gallons poured in.

Measuring based on miles traveled/gas put in the bike...specifically tracking mileage and MPG via Fuelly.

It's a case of simple math.

If (speed) > (ambient temperature) = fun ride

I don't know... rolling the bike around backwards in below 0 conditions doesn't sound fun to me!
