Met an OOS forum member on the "Crest"

A fellow member, Eddy Shipper posted a couple weeks ago about riding the Angeles crest. He is visiting from Park City, Utah, actually rode his 04 Factory the entire 1100 or so miles

I ran into him at Newcomb's Ranch this afternoon, just picked up my Tuono from Evoluzione this morning

It was nice meeting a fellow member, we chatted for a while and then Eddie and another guy on a 929 followed me down the Crest. Kept reasonble speeds since I didn't have the right attire, but it was a pretty damn nice ride. Perfect weather, virtually no traffic the entire way down, and good company. Just beat all heck out of working (I'm a tax partner in a CPA Firm)

Hope you have a safe and enjoyable ride home Eddie.

    sundays

    Greg,

I have a group of 3 of us that ride in the Santa Monica mtns every sunday if you would like to join. We are always at reasonable speeds, so if you are not into going too fast you can join us.

I have my Tuono and my buddies are on a RC 51 and a R1100S respectively. We are looking for a few more to join us for some fun riding.. I use my GPS on all rides and usually snap a few photos to go along with the maps I make / email of the rides which are neat to view afterwards..

Let me know if you are interested.

Josh, I am also a Thousand Oaks resident. I ride my Futura to Huntington Beach once a week for work and other times for work and fun as well. Let me know where you meet for your Sunday SM rides and I will try to hook up with you. I belong to the VCMC a D-37 offroad club. We are getting ready to put on our enduro so I am dirt biking on weekends more than usual helping to get Loop 1 ready.

hey, I rode with that guy too!

he was a cool guy, mentioned he bought the bike awhile ago, but the crappy utah weather was keeping him from riding it and he had to learn all over again...

we split up on lower big T and Angeles Forest where it heads up to redbox.

hope you had a good ride dude!

if you can show up at the starbucks in Montrose (210 and the 2, verdugo rd) on sunday between 7 and 7.45AM, me and my buddies WILL be there. We're there every sunday, and it's ride up, eat breakfast, ride some more, ride down. we're done by like 12-1.30 PM.

if you're interested... not sure where oxnard is... but if you can't make starbucks at 7, how about the Shell at the bottom of the hill at 8AM?

    like i said, 2 aprilias, 2 BMW's. that's us.

here's a link to a map of where the starbucks is.

if you're going 2NB from glendale, Verdugo is the exit right where it joins with the 210.

    Novos, Sammy, ....

Had a great ride Sunday. very nice meeting all of you, will definitely do it again. I cannot remember ever riding with another 6 guys, where everyone rode so well.

I have to take my Harle(t) to Laughlin this coming weekend , but perhaps the following Sunday.

    regards

    greg

    Hey Greg and Novos,
It sure was fun meeting you both and having a chance to meet other Aprilia owners. The rides were a blast, just wish I was still there so I could get a few more in with you guys. I'm back home now had a great time in So Cal, I knew I would. If either of you ever get out my way let me know. I'd love to show you around my state a little.
