When I lived in San Francisco I was riding a KZ650. Great bike but......
not in the city. A lightweight V-Twin is perfect in the city. Especially with a shaft drive. You got yourself the perfect city machine. IMHO.

It's been a couple of years since I just enjoyed going out on the bike for rideout as with the R1 I needed a quiet day, usually early morning, stealth mode (or as much as a full WSB race exhaust could ever be stealth!) and some fast fast riding to get my fix. With the Guzzi i can rag her hard where ever and still stay reasonably within the law, well....not the Go to Jail, Go directly to jail that I used to do on the R1.

Riding the twisty lanes is the best, but she'll sit comfortably on the dual carriageway at 80-90mph. Max speed was 105mph. What I love is the feeling that I get at the max. There are sections of my route where I can pin the throttle to the stop and just lay it through fast changes of direction. The bike hates it! She will speed weave and the suspension, even though it's wound up tight, will pogo and it takes some nerve to keep the bike pinned, but the rewarding feeling is better than the feeling I had doing the same roads on the R1 at 140mph!

Managed to embarrass a group of 6 riders out on the B2146 who were on a range of bikes including a Blackbird! Took 'em once, then pulled over to check my maps and luckily they went by again so i could do 'em again! The tricky bit is that you can't do people on acceleration. It's all about carrying corner speed on the skinny tyres and using the momentum on the short straights and taking advantage of the twisting corners and using engine braking and minimum brakes.

Fuel economy is very good with 120 mph to the reserve and much cheaper days riding than I had on the R1 with one less fuel stop on the days riding.

Loving my small block! Got the grin factor.

Perfect road for it, but watch out for the gravel on some of the corners. Squeeky bum time.

Indeed. Why is there so much gravel on that road? Does it flood? That's what i was wondering, but we've had so little rain? What ya riding these days? been ages since we had a hoon.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I thought the Guzzi section would be beyond all of this. Bring it back to the Tuoldo section, would you. Freakin' animals!
    Bikes:
    2007.5 Tuono-Black, with 1102cc's of micah's badness!
2012 Griso-Silver and black, Agostini pipe, some carbon bits.
2006 Vespa GT200-bitubo suspension all around, Malossi big-bore, head and cam, Akrapovic pipe, all put together by Micah.

gone 2002 Caponord-Oyster gray (as faithful as a hound dog)
gone Futura-Red (on the AF1 showroom floor. Get some.)

The more I learn about people, the more I appreciate rocks.

Good to see there's another convert to the Guzzi fold and that you don't need 100hp+ to get a thrill. The Mark III gets ridden more than the Falco in this house. If only Guzzi had built a bike that looked like the current V7 but on the Bellagio platform. To me that would have been the perfect new old Guz.

    A very nice idea but......
I am a displacement whore. I want a Bellagio with the 1200cc 8V Griso powerplant.
