Cool tuonos at laguna seca today

    yup,

2 fine twins, one grey and one red-way red! 3 other rsvr were also doing time too

    i swoooop'd in at 9:30, and and colected a crash-out spot by 10:30 for $100 with a 11:20 start

the owner of the red tuono had his 2 sons, of which both were sporting rc51 and a 600rr...all with pvm wheels and custom paint done very cool. they own a body shop in west of livermore ca.

one of the photogs had 20 pics of my afternoon laps, BAD-ASS!! tires are shot, lap times 1:44:+ all afternoon and to boot...my fuel light came on after 2 laps into the last run of the day.

i made it to the end, and YES (((ALWAYS WFO PAST THE SOUND BOOTH BETWEEN 5 and 6-EVERY LAP))).

the kid next to me on his 600rr was black flagged for his pipe. the r&r the oem in 30 minutes.

    i'll say this,

all that red and thoes gold pvm wheels made that bike look very nice (and i'm not a red man).

it was an epic day in my book.

cresting the hill into 1 at 130+, and then cutting through 2 and 3 like butter to a hot knife.

and, then there are the charges up the back frorm 6 to the corkscrew at 120 at the top to my brake markers

    nice!

The grey is very stealthy, but the red one is........

    WOW!

If it's Friday, and there are 5 RSV Aprilias on the track, it must be Laguna.

That's it, I am moving back to Cali. (As soon as the season is over)

    Your setup is nice!

Can you post a pick of the seat cowl up close? I think I want one of those.. Does it rub / leave marks at all? How is the fit?

Pretty amazing that you can hustle the Tuono Terror around without hassles Steve! GOOD DEAL.

That red bike looks just ravishing, doesn't it?

rear cowl is from an 2003 rsvr. it is a direct replacement for the stock seat at $250-300 retail (my cost was $175).

    speaking of my setup....meaning....

tires, wheels, brakes, suspension settings, rearset configuration/location, motor tuning and the condition of the brain of the pilot at the time of the ride.

    rick

i did have a close call in the corkscrew.

lance gave me a few back to back sessions, and one was with the B- group-YIKES!!

SOME PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHERE TO RIDE ON THE TRACK-some hand holding was in need badly out there.

dudes making line changes, braking/locking up rear tires into corners and so on. guess you need to learn, and i was once a squid too. but, to see the way some of these guys were riding, they will never make it out on the open roads for very long.

the b+ group had 3-4 riders that were able to lap me by session's end, and one guy on the new 03 rsvr was ready to sell his bike by lunch time untill he and i hooked up later in the day and set a good calculated pace. he followed me, and started to get what the vtwin/apailia chassis was all about (owner of a gsxr750).

keigwing used to run a and b groups, now it's a, b+ and b- with 20-minute sessions in place of the 30-minute ones.

as more crashouts came in the afternoon, i moved into the a group for the last 2 sessions of the day

    Good Goin'

Hey, what's a trackday without at least one hair raiser? Like the time a fellow on his 851 slowed suddenly on the front straight and quickly moved over towards the pit wall from clear across the track, which at that moment was occupied by my ZX-7R going much MUCH faster...

I'm ready to book a school with Keigwins for T-Hill, it sounds like they're First Class.
