About 100 mpg. Better than any other production internal combustion transportation that I am aware of.

Did your friend buy it from a dealer? If so, maybe they could get him a copy of the bill of sale. What state is he from? Sorry for our skepticism, but you can imagine the story behind most newcomers who do not have a key to the scoot.

Does the same key fit every lock on the bike? If so, I can take the locking panel to the locksmith without having to tear out the ignition switch.

Hi there! I am the owner of an aprilia sr50 R factory 2006 and I can proof it Dashboard broke down, bought one on ebay, but didnt think if the code and the guy I bought it from said it didnt need one when he tested in (probably on the original bike). I am in UK - can you talk me through resetting it? Would appreciate very very much!

Hey guys, so obviously this is a really old thread but I thought I would toss in my 2 cents. I unfortunately just lost my one and only key to my 07 sr50 Ditech ( yea i know, should have made another one...I know). Anyways, im trying to avoid at all cost of getting an 800$ digidash. Im unfortunately not the first owner, but the guy who I bought it from was im pretty sure, older gentleman, high chance that he never changed the user code ( 00000) , and I spoke to the dealer it was bought from, they said they would never change the code. So! Im placing some bets here obviously. Decided to order a new key today, just the 1 key blank and not the lockset. I know a great locksmith in town here ( victoria BC) who I showed one of my scooter locks too, and asked if he could replicate a key without having an original. He said yes, he should be able too, so im going that route!

I ended up popping off the battery cover, which has a lock, without unlocking it ( its not very sturdy, was able to do it without breaking anything). I should be getting the new key in 2 weeks hopefully, and will hopefully be able to get that key cut properly to work, and will hopefully be able to turn the dash on, and will hopefully be able to program new key with code 00000 or 45256, we shall see.

I will post an update here ( hopefully I remember) in case anybody sees this in the future. that is all!

Do you recall if every time you turned on the scooter if the dash had a message stating "remember to set your user code", or something similar, I can't remember the exact words. If so, the code is 00000, if not, it was changed. Try some common codes like 11111, 22222, 33333, 44444, 55555, 66666, 77777, 88888, 99999, 12345, 01234, 45256, 09876, 98765, 06660, 00666, 66600, etc.

Well guys, here's an update. Got the key and got it cut, the cut was good and works, but unfortunately the code wasn't 00000 or anything easy, I tried everything I could think of... So, unfortunately, I can keep trying whenever I feel like but looks like I'm outta luck...

Yea I did , unfortunately I wasnt able to get into my dash at all. A member did sell me a used 2009 dash though for an amazing price, and with that I was able to program my new key, and everything is good to go now! So anybody reading this in the future, short getting someone like techrat reflashing your dash ( I wasnt able to contact him) the only option is a new or used dash, if youve lost all keys and dont have the user code that is
