    Shiver 1200 & Dorsoduro 1200

    So guys,

Looks like the long heard rumours are starting to surface again. Check this link out:

    http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/Ne...venture-bikes/

I know its only MCN, and I too was a bit sceptical. Then I also saw this thread in the news section:

    http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...59&postcount=2

I was actually considering making a jump to a KTM Superduke but now after hearing the news, guess I will have to wait and see.

Hmm time will tell, it's been promised for a few years now so i'll believe it when I see it. Is there a Market for it if the v4 tuono comes out?

I agree with the sceptism, but well like you said time will tell. I personally would go for a shiver 1200 instead of a V4 Touno. Quite thrilled with the power delivery of a twin and also the increased level of comfort, both for rider and pillion.

Since Ducati has the 1200 Multistrada out and has got great reviews, I think it would be wise for aprilia to produce the 1200 version bikes.

I'll pass on the 1200 Shiver . I'm saving my pennies for a yet to be official RSV4 based Tuono. Otherwise the only thing that interests me in a 1200 Shiver is what upgrades from I can fit to my bike.

I wonder if it will have a bigger capacity tank than the current DD and if it does, whether it could be fitted to the current DD...........

So does this mean europe will get the 1200 at the end of the year and the USA 6 months later? I've been waiting for the 1200 for awhile and hope it's true this time.

+2 for the 1200 tank on the 750.

The 750 DD is exactly what I need. If I wanted a 1200 I'd have bought something else.

Thats true, when I bought the shiver I wanted a 750, but now after having it for 2 years I want MORE!!!!!!

Obviously will have to see it first before I decide, the KTM Superduke comes with the complete package. Hopefully Aprilia won't cheap out on the brakes and suspension.
