I never felt safe in those tyres, especially when wet.

you have to work a little to change the connectors and to plug well the spark cable, but are the most similar to original from the electrical point of view and are very robust.

    How solve coils trouble

Many Caponord and Futura bikers had changed their coils in last years here in Italy with good results.

These are the currents inside the new coil and in the spark plug compared with the old sagem spark current at bench

The female AMP connectors are available on RS

I leaved the old connectors in parallel, but after 5 years from the installation I can say that is unusefull
The only boring issue is connect the coil plug with the original spark plug cable because are different, but it is enough to keep them together by a strap or band.

Final result: primary coil current and voltage on engine running:

    Have a good fun.

Hello MRC, thank you for your feedback and information!! One of my ignition coils fails again and i just ordered this one. From what I understand the spark plug wire can be adjusted to the coil with a plastic tie and the other connector fits with the original. please confirm.

    Any other modifications is required?

    Thanks in advance

    Regards

    Hi Dankabus,
No the original connectors don't fit with these coils. These coils need a 3 way connector and you have to connect two wires in parallel with the original wires more one connected to ground.
You can leave the original connectors and add these ones so you can go back with standard solution if you need.
You can find the connectors on RS with code 718-6974 https://it.rs-online.com/web/p/conne...6974/?sra=pstk (the code is the same worldwide)
The terminals are minitimer series from TE / AMP sold apart RS code 718-1187
    Protection RS code 366-2077

For the high voltage spark plug you can hold coil and plug togheter with a heat shrink tubing or a plastic belt.
See picture and ask for any doubt
