    Hi, punisher_uk

You sure are getting good use out of your peg, good on you!. No messing about on tarmac like myself and probably most of the other peg owners on this forum. Keep the reports and pics coming. The ones of the bike are not bad either

I was'nt sure wether to post this as I was'nt on the Pegaso but here goes anyway.

    Weekend ride to yadboro

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dave81,my son and myself decided to go to Berlang campground for the weekend but after a bit of thought ( like it's friggin cold at Braidwood )we thought it would be better to stay on the coast and go to Yadboro instead. After all it's only 3 hours from Wollongong and we were more interested in chilling out than covering big distances.

It was'nt long before we hit the dirt.Last time I was along here it was a bit wet .

But it was perfect weather this time.

    Time for a break anyway.

The ride in was great with plenty of old wooden bridges and great scenery.

Another bridge just before the campsite.

Still not a lot of water around.

    The campsite was beautiful though.

No sooner had we got there than my young bloke wanted to ride the sidecar. He's getting quite good at it now .

Dave and Braydon relaxing by the river.Braydon ended up falling in and we spent the evening drying his clothes out around the fire.

Dave starting the fire.We cheated and used petrol to start it.Stand back Dave. You had to be there the first time I showed Dave the petrol method...those eyebrows grown back yet mate .

We had an early night and a good sleep. There's nothing like waking up to birds singing and the sun shining.

A cup of coffee and I started cooking breakfast for the boys.

We packed up casually and left around 10am to be home by 12.30.A nice relaxing weekend away with good company. You can't beat it.

    Cheers
    A2

    Festival of a thousand bikes

This report might not be of interest to all of you, as it is based on the enthusiasm of a few guys who eat breath and sleep classic motorcycles. Bikes of yester-year, classic Italian, Japanese, British, Spannish, you name them they where there.

This is my son Gavin with his 1972 replica Bol' Dor Laverda Jota 1000cc Endurance racer, as raced in the 24 hour race of that year.Gavin built this bike from scratch, with only a photo from a book as guidance. He only had the front drum brake to start the project, after that it was all up hill. He made the tank and the tail piece and seat from allumunium sheet. It was ridden at the Mallory Park festival by one of the works riders from the original Laverda factory. It was the first time it had been ridden since completion. Needless to say Gavin was a little nervous at the time.

Well, I hope you found this report interesting, I had a great day. I went up on the Peg, some 102 miles each way, it never skipped a beat, some urban roads and some motorway and luckily it didn't rain either.

That's it till the next one.
