    What kind of specs does this engine have? (RPM, Torque, HP)

    Just some updates on my bike that had only 1500 miles on it! Yeah what did I do!?! And yes that's the 250 engine in that Benelli frame!

    Engine Weight

    Nice Project.

    What is the weight of the original and the new engines?

    I am not sure what is the weight but I think it is about 50lbs and the 250cc is about 65lbs and the power 45 to 55 HP I'd think.

    My RK double O-ring 520 chain and 40 teeth YZ250 sprocket, had to machine the wheel and place a spacer between the wheel and sprocket.

    As you can see there is a Ducati flywheel and stator from the original 50cc engine. I had to machine a ring and cut the hear off from the flywheel to fit it in to the 250 engine, so that way I will be able to use all original electronics on the bike or eventually buy an aftermarket one.

    nice, but i woulda put a cr500 lump in there lol, thing would rip then! and as for people saying 50 scooter frames are weak, there was a conversion on another forum i went on with a gilera runner 50 frame, and a fully tuned 172 engine, that was dyno'd at 100mph and 26bhp

    A 250cc would make alot more than 26bhp

    You where talking about how the strong the frame is and compairing it to a 172 engine producing26 bhp i said that a 250 would make more than 26 bhp so the comparison you made wasnt really valid, not sure on the motor that is being installed but a 250 motor could throw out 50 bhp which makes quite alot off difference for the frame.

    lol !

    Anyway got some more pics of the pipe now! The first pic is how the pipe looked when I just got it. Then I cut and twist until it fit perfectly on my bike. I didn't take any pics of the process was too busy playing with the pipe but you can see where it was re-welded. Maybe some day I'll build my own pipe but this one will do for now !
