There are 2 coolant lines, a vacuum line, fuel line and a oil line going to the carb. You can usually track down the other end to find out where they go.

Here are some pics I just took. I should have washed it first but you should get the idea.

Your welcome Rizla. I hope it gets you going in the right direction again.

Can you scoot the kitchen table back out of the way until it stops raining? lol

Am trying to rebuild my sons sr50r that he was gifted to him, but am uncovering ten years of neglect, slow progress is being made, am trying to figure out where the heater lines from the carb connect to on the engine but can’t find a diagram which shows the connections, any help anyone?

Well after rebuilding the engine with virtually everything that comprises an engine (main bearings, crankseals, head, barrel, rings, little end, thermostat (( which was missing)), plug, cap, ht lead, coil, carburettor and auto choke, air filters, starter bendix, drive belt and rollers, think that’s it )it starts and runs no problem, is a bit reluctant pulling away from cold but soon settles and runs well, occasionally it refuses to revafter shutting off (junctions etc. ) and is sometimes a little “grabby” pulling away, can anybody point me in the right direction to resolve these problems as apart from this it’s a lovely little bike, it’s done 17500 miles which I didn’t think was a lot and has opened my eyes to two strokes. All help and advice gratefully received by a stressed out old fart.

try the fuel mix screw at 1.5 turns. if it is better try in or out another 1/4 turn.

new sparkplug. compression is likely getting low at 18000miles so it could use a cylinder kit or a big bore kit.

right / try the mix screw. the replacement jugs are often not finished up as much as new factory parts so the rings take longer to seal up. point is it might need to sit at 2 turns for the first two weeks then try 1.5 turns.

synthetic red oil. new sparkplug if its old. keep the airbox stock or it will tune worse. screw the sparkplug wires on at both ends because they often are not sunk in enough then people get thin blue spark. take it off at both ends and mark full depth with tape.
and clean the idle jet again.
