    Priller thriller

Got it from J&A in Stafford - no website so don't bother looking.

Jim there does Car and Bike sales plus workshop stuff on both. I had the cat off him and he has offset my excess on the price of a new one. Not a big flashy dealership - you will not find any corporate ashtrays, ties or fancy art on the walls* but always busy and he knows his bikes, had a mint RC30 in last week he was working on - plenty of Dukes too.Seems to sell bikes in the 2.5-4k bracket but will source anything. He has dropped it off at mine whilst he PDI's it! Not a penny has crossed hands yet. Trusting - but he knows where I live and he's a big fella. Sat am before I can take it out.

*Went to BMW Crewe to check out the GS800 few weeks back. Massive plush gaff, wall to wall crisp shirts and ties. Tidy haircuts and whiff of Kouros - felt like being at work.. "Two" receptionists who informed me "we don't do bikes anymore". Put me off and there is a long waiting list plus 7k!!!

Whats this code to input which the handbook refers to?

the default is 00000 (he thinks),

lucky I had changed mine as when someon tried to shortwire it the immobilizer kicked in and I had to put in the code to get iI t started so I guess the thieves might have had the chance to knick it had it stayed the default.

THe other service code is 27xxx , something like that I can't remember.

As for garage /dealer I use Southern Cross , they do not get more uncorporsate than them

DonFanatico, what do you think of Southern Cross? They had a write up in one of the bike magazines recently and sounded very good. I was thinking of taking my bike there next time (they are not too far from me). I wasn't overly impressed with the (cow)boys who did the last service, so if you give Southern Cross the thumbs up, it would be good to know. Cheers.
