    wind screen

I'm planning to purchase a Mana when one becomes available locally. The dealer said he'd have on mid July.

For long rides, I'd like to have a windscreen. What would be the best option?

Yukkk. That looks horrible. Maybe with a clear windscreen it wouldn't look so bad.

I would think just about any other aftermarket brand that has the handlebar mounts would look better on the Mana.

To each their own tho. I do like the black finish on the the bike.

Wow, I love the black! How did you get it? I thought it was only available in the states in red or silver.

Skidmarx is out of the UK, so that picture is of a Euro model.

Love the black. Windscreen is definitely not my style. It'd lood pretty good with something of a more sport look than sail.

UK? I must have failed 1st grade reading when his location says: New England USA. Since when is there a New England, USA in the UK? I guess the forum newbies know it all.

As for the bike I thought the black was only available overseas but maybe by some chance he imported a black, a dealer was shipped a black by mistake or it was just custom done as a replica of the Euro version.

I will be interested in something smaller, Flay Screen of some sort. The bike is sexy, screen should be to.

Does anyone know if Aprilia's windshield will be available in the USA?

I must admit, the full set-up of the Mana looks pretty good:

I know AF1 has the side bags, but haven't seen nor heard anyone in the USA having the Aprilia windshield.

The company skidmarx appears to be a UK company

    http://www.skidmarx.co.uk/index.html

maybe that was what is meant?

after further searching it appears the pic comes from this website:

    http://www.google.com/translate?lang...styl-moto.com/

and the turn signals appear to be the shorter non USA spec ones.

here's a shot of the (bigger) skidmarx screen

    from the press release:
Owners can choose between a compact fly screen, that measures 23cm wide by 36cm high, and a more substantial touring style item, which is taller and wider at 77cm wide x 52cm top to bottom. Both are manufactured in the UK from 4mm acrylic, which is 33% thicker than the company’s double bubble screens and offers better rigidity for windshields and are and supplied complete with tailor made steel fittings. The smaller screen is available in clear, light or dark tinted options and retails for £59.95 and the large version comes in clear or light tint, for £105.95.

So it never occurred to you that it might NOT actually be HIS bike, and that the picture came from Europe, where both the black MANA and that brand of windscreen are much more readily available?

The simplest explanation is generally the correct one...

The fact that I don't have many posts doesn't make me a newb. Judging the validity of someone else's post based solely on post count is a pretty newbish thing to do, if you ask me.

My Wife has the Mana and she loves it, the windscreen is definitely required be that the aprilia or aftermarket ones.

She has the aprilia one and at the end of the day its her bike but I think it looks like the queen bitch in alien with the flappy head

It is a lovely bike but if you are getting one with dunlop tyres I highly recommend you se if your dealer will change then as they are nasty as hell. Oh and make sure you get a hugger (Skindmarx do one) as you will be needing it the little inch high lip aprilia call a hugger is a joke.

Most of my bikes ware naked and with no windscreen. Before I got Mana I thought that I would like a small fly-screen on it. The more I ride Mana less and less I think that I need the screen. The only think that might change my mind is if Aprilia comes with something incredibly appealing. Otherwise I will be just fine.
