    Will GSXR mirrors fit?

I saw some GSXR mirrors in the shop today, they have built in indicator lights like the Futura. Anyone familir with them, and know if the bolts are the same distance apart? This would be a lot cheaper than RSVR mirrors. And look much better than the stockers. The stock mirrors and winscreen are the only things that bother me about the appearance of the Futura. This bike is too sexy for those parts!

I've been looking at other possibilities myself. You'ld actually have to have the mirror in your hand to be able to tell if it will work and that usually means buying it. Or we need someone that works at a dealership that owns a Futura.

I think I can get one pretty cheap on ebay. I might just buy one and try it. Some of the replacement mirrors I've seen listed for the GSXR say "universal fit". I wonder if a lot of Japanese sportbikes use the same distance between mounting bolts?

    RSVR mirrors

These fit perfectly - plug 'n play. I put a pair on my Fut & am very happy. They look way better than stock IMHO. Only downside is that you need to move your elbows to see the whole picture. Same goes for other mirrors w/ shorter stalks.

I wish you'd have asked this question earlier. I just went riding last Sunday with a buddy of mine. Utter newbie to bikes, brand-new bike.
He's got carbon-look mirrors on his'. I don't seem to have a good picture of them.

He says the mirrors are great. He never used the stock ones so he doesn't know if there's any difference.

I'm not getting a perfectly clear picture of my rear view with the stock mirrors....I guess gorilla arms will do that for you. So if I have to move my elbos to see with aftermarket mirrors, not much has changed. But I do not like the looks of the stock mirrors.

Outside of a skinnier stalk which I think looks odd I don't see a hell of alot of difference between the GSXR mirrors & the Futuras. Whats the big attraction? The last thing I'd want is a mirror that I could see even less out of. The stock ones are bad enough.

    What about the temperature sensor?
Isn't that in the left hand mirror stalk?

The stock mirrors stick straight up, looks like a dog's ears. I'd rather have something more horizontal to the ground...out, not up.

    Tuck and see

Riding solo I just tuck my elbows in a couple of inches and can see clearly behind me. With my wife on board, my view is partially blocked by her legs and elbows. Unfortunately longer mirrors would stick out too far IMO. As anyone seen the CanAm Spyder? Those mirrors look pretty cool and are long looking in the picture.

Ha! Yeah now I know. The carbon is stick-on, 69Ä...

Interesting observation though: coming off the dry motorway (it rained in the twisties all the time ) my BT-021's were warmer than his BT-014's! Must be my ahem...impressive stature.

This might work better against elbows...

Use mirror extenders with the RSVR mirrors...
