    Quickshifters for the RS250

I was wondering where most of you guys running quick shifters got them from, all I can find are the ones for TZ's and Honda RS's. I was also interested in how usefull they can be on the RS

You need a shifter, it will save your gearbox. The battle shifter is good. Techtronics is good, and Translogic is good. We currently run the translogic. Our old bike had a Techtronics.

The basics are that a switch is built into the shift rod. When you push down on the shift lever it senses the pressure and kills the coils for a few hundredths of a second, taking the pressure off the gearbox and allowing gears to change. This makes for no throttle movement or clutch for upshifts. If you could run your bike next to itself and one bike with the shifter and one without, the bike with the shifter would go forward about 2-3 feet ever gear change.

Techtronics QS2 is what fits the Aprilia (blue for GP shift, gold for standard)

Some shifters are cheap and you will replace/rebuild them often. a quality shifter almost never breaks or malfunctions. With a shifter you get what you pay for.
