I have a 450 and want taller gearing does anyone know who makes sprockets for these babies and is it best to go up one in the front or down one or 2 in the rear i always have gone up on my sports bikes usually the rear so pls help with any advice??

Try 3-4 smaller in the rear mate.

I'm not a fan of smaller front sprockets. I have always believed it puts more stress on the chain.

What set up do u run or is it still stock i find i'm constanly reving out 1st and second and it gets heaps of vibration after about 8k rpms....

I think the 450 run a 15 tooth gearbox sprocket and a 550 is a 16 tooth so you can put a 550 sprocket on it. Should be available at most Aprilia dealers.
I went the opposite way and put a 15tooth on my 550 as it was too high geared for the track.

My gearing at present is stock. I will be changing it to a smaller rear soon.

I have only travelled 300kms on mine from new and have zero engine vibrations like you describe. I did have said vibrations before it was all derestricted & re-programmed etc etc... Has yours been done?

Yep. I get vibration too but only between 8 and 9-9.5K, and only if i'm holding revs in that range. If you're accelerating hard through it I don't get much vibration.
