Hey Patrick, do you know the total production figures for the RS50 per year?

It is actually a pretty difficult number to come up with because most manufacturers will not release it except to shareholders.

I have always been curious if Aprilia actaully makes more RS50's per year than RSVRs. Would be a neat little piece of trivia.

Extrema was build from 1993 to halfway 1995 and has a rectangle headlight.
1995 to 1996 is the RS50 Replica, 1997 and 1998 is just called RS50, just like the model that folowed it.

I've still got the brochure from 01 with the harada & diablo so its not 100% corrent. Are you trying to say they didn't do a 02 sbk?

Thats what Aprilia says, remember sometimes next years bike already goes into production in september!
I had the SBK in september 2002 in my store while it was a 2003 model. might have been in production even earlyer than september but as far as i know the earlyest was september exept for the 1995 Replica wich came out summer 1995.

The 01 diablo defiently wasn't out before feb 01 in the UK. Came out around march 01 iirc.

I said sometimes they come out early, of the 2000 model Harada and Melandri loads were build, if you look at all the RS50's on the Forum most are 2000 models.
I think that in 2000 the build 2 times more RS50's as in any other year.

2006 is the same as the 2005 model due to some legal problems they have decided to cancel the new MS (cigaret brand) model.

As far as i know there are no plans to make the RS50 look like the 125 for 2 main reasons, one was that wen people were asked about it most said they wanted the RS50 to keep the looks of the 125/250 GP bikes. and the other was because it would look to much like a Derbi GPR, Yamaha TZR, etc.

The blue & white one?
Yeah, it's illegal here in the Netherlands. I almost bought a MS one.. It's pretty nice:worship:

Btw, that new RS125 is almost an exact copy of the GPR... :\

Your right Priller i now see that i missed this one and the blue Telefonica one somehow, had the pictures here though.
This one was listed as the one with the silver tank for 2002 so i have to change that.
Thanx for the info, didnt notice the black tank untill i saw you mentioned the Telefonice wich i was 100% sure of i had a pixture off.

Not only in the netherlands, think in belguim too and france for sure and some other european countries, look at the Moto GP and F1 races and stuff, in some countries the bikes and cars carry sigaret advertiments like Malbore while in other countries it has been removed. that was the problem with the Blue & White one, really a shame, it looked awsome, much better then the MS body kits going around.

What about the identikit models? The Rossi Rep in the gunmetal colour and nastro azzuro down the side and the black pogialli one with the gold lion stickers and RS instead of the genuine MS decals.

Some of the bikes are incorect like the 2 silver 96 and 97 models.
Also a couple of years are incorect.
And some modelds are not orginial but restored ones that got parts on them from difrent years.

Im not posting the Identikit body kits because they can be put on a older or newer model so they dont say anything aboput the year.

I think thats because the most sold IDkit is the 2002 gold/black one.
i think its the nices one too.

I think thats a good idea having the different model years, theres lots of people that don't know excatly what year their bike is lol
Also, why haven't you got the pre-95 models? Is it because there hard to get pictures of or something? Just theought it would be interesting to see those as you hardly ever see them.

Dont have any Aprilia catalog info on them or pictures from it :(
Pictures i do find on the internet have difrent years on some models and a lot of pics the bikes are not original anymore and parts have been swaped.
The AF1 models is really hard, in the first 2 years (1986/87) there were 3 difrent models, than in 88 the AF1 replica came around and in 89 the AF1 sintesi, in 91 the Futura and Europa came and the last Futura model of the second half of 1992 had the AM-5 engine, before that they all used the RV-4 engine. In 1993 the RS Extrema came out wich was folowed halfway 1995 by the RS replica wich was build to 1997, than in 1998 it got a AM-6 engine, in 1999 the model the we curently have came out with has stayed basicly unchanged for 7 years with only some minor changes to the carburetor and controles.

And yes i know this shit out of my head :p:
