Yeah mate, that's me :D . There was a photographer trackside for saturday qualifying. I'm wrapped in the pic!!

Yep, We race seasons, which here is typically from feb to nov. As a club level racer I race 2 series as a regular, and the odd 1 off event. My club series is 4 rounds (2 day events), and the state B+C grade series is 4 rounds also (1 day events). THe above pic was at a national C grade meet called the "AGV stars of tomorrow" (hence the AGV stickers- you must have them to compete at this meet).

Sponsors seem to come in 2 forms- Either buisnesses that a family member or friend works in (meaning they don't expect anything), or companies who see they it as an investment, so want something for their money (results, sales etc.) Me, I don't have any formal sponsors yet.......

How I got started? Alwys been a bike racing fan, so my new years resolution for this year was to go racing. Sold the road bike, bought a race bike, joined a club & got my license. The rest is history. While not super dear, it isn't cheap either, so keep that in mind when setting a budget. Clubs are full of great people and fantastic racing. Basically, just do it!!

Thanks alot Yammyfan you have answered my questions perfectly....... So basically to get started I need to go to a club and have my racing license k ? so after that depending on how good I am maybe a team can hire me ? or something similar....... Anyay I will do and I know it ain't cheap couse I already know some prices and it isin't cheap, plus then I need bike plus spears tyres....etc...is a lod of . But if it is that way that I have to start then that's the way it has to be :) .

BTW: I tought that Number 49 looked very familiar :D

Also in Spain where I'm from is so much easir to get into racing that it is here in the UK......but I will go back in a few years probably :) .

Laterz mate.
