I just read some comments on the Aprilia website about

"anti-skipping" brakes???

What is this? Anti-Lock? Anybody know?

I had ABS on a bimmer, it saved my ass once in the wet (two-up) but it was my fault. I was pissed off and not paying attention to what I was doing. The problem is I never got used to trusting the abs on a bike, so in the wet I still brake on the safe side. It's possible that one could do better if they just trusted and hit the brakes to the max, I dunno. In the dry I'm comfortable braking right at or just over the limit of adhesion of the front tire (upright of course, not leaned over) but in the wet you never know which patch is more slippery than the next.

My 05 Capo (same as 06) has ABS and it works perfect. Saved me twice now. Amazing technology.

US spec 2006 Scarabeo 500 has ABS as well.
