View Full Version : What engine is my SR50R?

Hi, i have a 2005 SR50R. I have just got a parts list and want to upgrade my carb, reeds, bigbore etc but i have been asked what engine mine is :confused:
Btw its not a ditech.
How can i tell what engine model my scooter is?

Well, I think it's a Minarelli engine, but don't shoot me if I'm wrong. But given other Aprilia 50cc's and the fact that Minarelli provides 50cc 2-stroke engines for the majority of scooters, I think I'm right.

Minarelli also produces 660cc mono's for Yamaha (XT660) and the new Aprilia Pegaso Strada 650.

Perhaps you better check the 50cc forums too

yes nearly all of them are Minarelli, but i need to no where i could find the model.
i no the engine is a vertical engine, (so the head is facing up) but i need to no the model for the parts. thanks for the reply
