APRILIA MAGNET

A project born to amaze you, for riding emotions never felt before. A three-wheels concept towards enthralling sensations, that also takes care of our environment: from a Formula 1 riding position to a hybrid propulsion system, here are the images of Heikki Naulapaa’s creature. And the Finish designer’s tale about the project.

The 1.3-liter engine of the GSX1300R Hayabusa motorcycle - mounted in the mid-rear of the sports car - revs quickly up to its 11,000 rpm redline. On tap is 173 horsepower at 9,800 rpm :burnout: , generated with the help of double overhead cams, 16 valves, an 11:1 compression ratio, liquid cooling and electronic fuel injection. The power from the GSX-R/4 engine is directed through a smooth, hand-shifted six-speed sequential transmission, and the transfer unit, linked to the output shaft of the transmission, lets the driver shift into reverse.

Overall width 68.1 in.
Overall height 39.8 in.
Wheelbase 96.5 in.
Weight Curb weight 1,411 lbs.
Max. Power 173 HP / 9,800 rpm
Max. Torque 102 lb. ft. / 7,000 rpm

This sounds like a Kart (all be it with 20" Alloys) on steroids :) . We can only hope it will make production and if it does you know it will be diluted and not as the designer intends. :bond:

I am 70% done with Grand Turismo 4 on Playstation and have been using the Suzuki as my car of choice for some of the advanced races. It is loads of fun to beat and even lap Corvettes, Vipers, Ford GT's, Aston Martin's, BMW's, and Mercedes with that little Suzuki rocket.

I would love to own one.

Ride safe.

I too have used that car with great success. I (think I) used it on it GT3 not 4. But who cares, if it translated to the road like it drives on GT - WOW - that would be one kick ass car. (As long as we could all afford one.)

I'd wait on the dp1...

Suzuki: 1411lbs
dp1: 700lbs (from what I remember)

:)

A company is also developing a V8 based on two Busa top ends, and he plans to use it...I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do :)

First dyno test gave @370 hp from a tiny V/8 made from Two Busa top ends. How about that in a super sport version of Boss Hoss.

There are cars/bikes like that you can actualy buy, Made In Holland!
Like Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear said "They must have been smoking pot wen they came up with this thing" but he loved it.

There was also a segment on the Science Channel recently and they had a similar concept from OZ. These things look like they really can lean into turns and must be a blast to drive!

It would be tons of fun, but only at a dedicated track, or maybe on a closed off mountain road. No way I'd drive or ride anything that low to the ground in the land of the SUVs.
