Thanks to all those that have helped me put this together. Thanks to mysubaruimp for hosting....and to Jtomas for fielding my calls on how to work Movie Maker. This is my FIRST attempt EVER at making a movie and using this software, so be kind on the comments, but I do appreciate honesty. I just installed an IEE34 firewire the other week. I plan on making a few purchases which will include a lipstick camera...and some movie making software, as Movie Maker was VERY limited in the special effects. So.....comments are appreciated.

Enjoy...

Oh, and it's 259megs... so you know the deal.

At first the windshield beading bugged me, but after a minute you forget that's even there. I felt like I was on the bike.

NICE JOB

I'd like to talk with you about the specifics on compression of the video. I have a similar camera, but always get crappy results whenever I get anything small enough to post.

Great work on the video man! These are a blast to make.. almost as fun as the ride even. I'm gonna have to comment on your rpm light though... for the next ride you're gonna have to set it higher than 6k. :peace:

The wide angle lens is pretty nice I noticed - I'm gonna have to look into that.
I streamed it too beau np.. was cake.

Yeah I sent him instructions on how to re-set it....

Imagine the shock of opening the throttle for someone that did not know how to re-set the red line...and then someone come along and punch a few buttons

It'd be cool to get the speedometer in there as well. Maybe you'd have to tilt the camera to one side a bit or something. I DO REALLY like how we get the motor noise as well as the music! Good Job on that! :worship:

I think you missed the point.

1. I fucked up and you called me on it
2. I changed it and you didn't notice
3. I posted "what are you talking about" - which was WAY funny because you didn't notice I had changed the link!
4. You didn't check the link again on my post
5. You think I'm a retard and need a list :)
6. Profit??

Thanks for the comments guys. YA...I know about the rev limiter. I have only had the bike for 1 month. And as far as the video. well..it was my first attemp at 1) shooting video on a bike 2) downloading to a computer 3) Using Movie Maker 4) Putting it up on the web 5) editing... 6)-Infinity....
I was just trying to have fun. I need to find a better, more versatile editing software that gives me more option for special effects. I also need to get a lipstick camera to get a better view. As far as interviews goes...SURE I am totally up for making a killer video....pulling over at a great corner and sitting with the camera as people run through the corner....bring it on....

I apologize for not including everyone in the video.....next time.....

Any thoughts on the sound track???

I just hooked up my laptop to my 105" DLP HD Projector and blasted the music! Looked sweet! I like the music...good timing. Although, I prefer some heavier shit.

Fade the music in and out so we can hear the bikes only some of the time?
Put your head down and make a hero charge through the pack sending bikes and bodies flying in every direction?
Tape over the tach and set the shift light at 2K?
An occasional wheelie (for miles) with the tree tops whizzing past?
Everyone but you being arrested?
Improbable hero stories complete with hand gestures?
Passing (two gears faster) the guy dragging his knee?

Now you know why nobody ever asked me to produce a video.

Absolutely stellar job, especially for the FIRST TIME!!! Made my morning. I thought the music and overall feel was good. Now, if you could just get a lipstick cam mounted on the lower fairing just behind the front brake, ala MotoGP coverage, that would be sweet.

Looks like you guys had a great ride - nothin' like it, huh? Damn, I think it's time to move!!

Great job.

More please. Give us least coast suckers something to get us through the winter. We will live vicariously through you!!

Here is the camera I am looking to get so that my videos have the appearance of MOTOGP........my riding wont emulate MOTOGP...but the video should..... :bangwall:

I was just checking out their cameras the other night, here's another one that has a pretty nice mount. I'm not sure what it's resolution is though, so it's either quite a bit cheaper than the Viosport or more expensive since the price is between their lower res and higher res and an extra $50 for the one with motorcycle mount.

I was finally able to d/l the video, you did a good job. I even saw my devil tail flapping in the wind LOL.

Great job, Brad!! Especially liked the start with the slo-mo of the group.

Thought you guys would get a kick out of some of the video stuff that an Aussie buddy is doing with a ride the FJ group took to Gunnison, CO earlier this year. Marc (DerbyBrit1) is along, too.

great video! i reallty enjoyed it?
who is on the falco ahead of you and why didn't he give us the heads up on the falco forum?! :fangs:

i like the tunes, also....try ''swastika eyes'' from primal scream. nice video tune.
the only distraction (not your fault) was the contrast change from sunlight to shade. makes the viewer miss some action, but doesn't diminish the fun factor.
got more???

That was pretty realistic, as we went from the shadows to the sun in your face,,,pretty bad visibility going up the hill out of Palm Springs..Especially trying to scope out passing places...I know when I finally saw an opening to pass it was right up to red line for me, before the sun was in my face again.

http://www.supercircuits.com/

look at that site...it's a good source for TONS of types of cameras and recording equipment...anything can be adapted for the motorcycle. Just get 12VDC cameras...that'll make it easier.

That might be the same camera they are using on that link you gave SS

I wish it was, tried to ride one of my Falcos on the night before, but with this collar bone healing, a few pot holes and the shock to the shoulder made me decide to ride an old Honda.

Back in my garage sits what I call the Dynasore trickster....(1984 Honda Sabre) and with a little encoragement from Lucky Dave, I dusted it off and was the only non-Apprilia in the group. Don't think I held anybody up with my riding of it, but I really miss my Falco....

A few more weeks and I should be healed up enough to be back aboard.

OUCH! I don't know why you guys subject yourselves to that weather! There has to be a REALLY good reason I'm sure.

Used to live out that way myself. I especially liked the ride from Banning up San Gorgonio to Idylwild.

Where was the video taken?
