Not to hijack this thread, but I have been noticing quite a few ads for Vespa's here in NYC.

not to hijack either, but to Hank's coment, I saw a Piaggio add for Vespa's in Cycle World too. I think that's a first...or at least a fairly recent thing.

Excited to see the pics from Milan show...

Heard something recently about a new RS125 that has some of the Aprilia MotoGP bods working with the dev team on it.

I saw this on MCN:

Aprilia will officially show the new RSV Mille for the first time and there’s a new two-stroke RS125 and the possibility of a 500cc scooter, too.

The new RSV's a foregone conclusion, perhaps the RS125 too. As for the rest, MCN's guessing just like we are. Piaggio seem to be doing a better job of keeping things under wraps 'til very late in the game. Remember Aprilia's RSV04 being shown all over the Net almost a year prior to going on sale?

Talk about shooting one's own foot, and the dealers' too.

We'll see soon 'nuff. Aprilia will be hosting a pre-Milan press conference on the tenth.
I don't want to over-hype, but when Piaggio took over, they said the first thing they wanted to do was to push everything that was in the Aprilia pipeline forward to get things rolling again, and produce some excitement around the marque that hasn't been seen in a while.

My predictions: A new (possibly 1200cc) sports tourer to replace the Futura.
A revised (possibly heavily revised) RSV.
And probably a super-psycho Uber-scooter to satisfy that trend.

To all the ney-sayers who predict it will just be another showing of the '06 Tuono and SXV line: do you really think Aprilia would go through the expense, and possible humiliation, to bring the world press together two days before the Milan show if they didn't have SOMETHING up thier sleeves? Again, I don't predict ram-jet powered hover bikes, but I think we'll see something interesting.

I recieved and uncrated a couple of M-G Griso's, 2 '06 Tuono's and tomorrow one of the 450 SXV & RXV's each.
The Tuono is much better in the flesh than the photo's and the Griso looks awesome except for that big ugly pipe.
All the Sydney people will get to see these at the Sydney M/C Show next week.

Any idea when ? Can you post the results of the press conference asap ? I won't be able to get on the internet for the coming 3 days.

Ok, its 6pm in Rome.

Where are the pics? Did the press conference happen yet?

Dated November 10th at www.aprilia.com, the launching of their SXV-RXV production models at a press conference- maybe that was the hooplah for today?

If there's more stuff to write about then expect major Italian websites to have it first, "domani mattina".
