JWA1 - I noticed a 19x18 radial master was listed in your sig. Shouldn't that read 16x18?

And who here has an RS250 and not racing WSMC? We need all the 250's out there we can get.

Been wanting to try Buttonwillow for a long time. Had it booked twice this year and BOTH times a wedding came up on the same day!

JWA where do you live in SLO? I went to Cal Poly and my wife grew up there. We are there all the time.

Hope to see you at the Willow Springs track day!

Yep, Dave sponsors me and once I got all the suspension goodies added to my RS250, he got me 6 seconds a lap quicker from the previous month on stock suspension. He does all my race bikes. Guy is awesome.

Would love some help like that some time.
I am in the South Bay part of LA.

thats a bummer. Butt-on-Willa is a great bike track. Willow Springs is a big freeway by comparison. You owe yourself a turn on that track, especialy while the weather is still good. I think Desmo has a day comming up (Next Monday?)

I'll be there as soon as I sort out this new track bike acquisition. Looking to upgrade to a 1000cc gixxer which would give me a 60hp boost at the wheel. That should be good for big willow....

Absolutely!

I wanna do another trackday soon! I'm debating between this one and Fontucky with Fasttrack on the Nov. 27.

What's up KillerPriller! Met you at that Buttonwillow trackday a couple weeks ago. I was on the '01 R and my girlfriend was on the '01 with race bodywork.

lawman800
10-19-2005, 11:53 PM
How about doing both? I am going both days, and maybe this Monday even with Fast Track and then CLASS next month, Nov. 7. I'm telling you, season's coming to a close, get in while you can. The next Fast Track event is end of Jan. 06.

My new track weapon, ready to go!

2003 Gix1k. 170hp at the wheel. WERA 2x champion. Superstock A and Formula 1 novice classes.

Nice bike.

Wow. 170hp.. Way too much bike for me.... I wouldnt know what to do with it.

lawman800
10-20-2005, 11:54 PM
Yeah, 170hp is too much for me too but 100hp like my old gix6 is too little. It is getting pulled on the straights all the time by other modern 600s and 636 and 750 and 1000s. Of course, the gix6 has much more handling than I can exploit but at my level, I think I wrung all the handling I can from the bike at my comfort level, as low as it is. If I can maintain my cornering and get more speed in the straights or coming out of corners, I will be happy.

Which track days are you doing? I am debating about Monday heavily. The only problem with Willow (WSIR or Streets) is that they have very limited if any access to outlets for tire warmers. I refuse to ride without them.

If you do the Nov. 26th Saturday track day with trackdaz.com I will be there early enough to snag some garage space. There are outlets in them.

Will be the black '01 RSVR with red leathers.

After all my hype last Monday buggered up my foot on the 405 after a door-slammer changed lanes in front of me and then changed his mind! He darted back into the lane I had just entered. !@#$!!!. It was my VFR commute mule but will still set me back 5 bills for plastic and another 2 for the ER. BTW, nothing but a bruise on my foot but wanted the xrays to make sure. Just cannot shift with the precision that the track demands. Arrghhhhhhhh!

Still I plan to ride tomorrow on the Crest or Santa Monica Mtns.
