That is one of the nicer products of it type I have seen, nice idea. It is reasonably priced also. Please let us know what you think when it comes in.

That looks good. I just bought this (http://www.radarbusters.com/products/accessories/motorcyles/mounts/40005.asp)

but I like the ballmount and the offset. I kind of wish I had seen this first....

Nice product. And unlike the stem mount this one will let you get to the key and see the instriments easily.

However for radar, why not just keep it simple and do this!

I use 3M Grip lock 'plastic' velcro. And stick some to the top of my brake fluid resoviour. I rotated the angle of the bracket and it has worked well for about a year.

And you dont need as much Grip Lock tape as shown in this pic. I just have the front quater of the Radar (Valentine1) clipped to 1/3rd of the top of the resoviour and she holds well.

Sorry for the crap pics.

I mount a video camera the same way, using the 3M Grip Lock on the top of the tank. You can just see the tank tape at the bottom of the pic and the tape on the resoviour as well.

Just for clarity, which of the two companies mentioned above are you referring to?

It's funny, they show a picture of an aprilia with a mount clamped around the right fork leg but when you look at the application all they offer for the Mille or Falco is the one that mounts in the center stem.

FWIW I ordered a stem mount from them for my VFR800 a year or so ago and had no problems and it's worked great (aside from the already mentioned difficult in getting to the key)
