Just wondering whats going to happen next year with the ms aprilia racing team in the motogp, is it going to be just Laconi or are we going to see someone else move up to MotoGP (eg. Melandri). I dont know about you guys but it would be nice to see quicker advancement on the RS3 project (by getting 2 team members in motoGP) and start seeing aprilia kick some ass (which is the way it should be!).

Unfortunately, money's the key here. They got
caught out with a large backlog of unsold sc-
ooters last year when Italian legislators put
new helmet laws in place. So who knows what's
happening for next year? The team has stated
already that they REALLY need a test squad to
help Laconi- there's barely enough time to do
setup on GP weekends much less try new stuff!
Actually, for the newest bike in the field &
having none of the Big Four's resources it is
coming along OK. My big question is when will
Aprilia ditch Dunlop? At some point remaining
on second-rate rubber will make attracting a
top rider all the more difficult. It's a huge
question mark. I guess we just stay tuned!

how long before we start seeing aprilia road bikes (particularly RS's) that have similaier fairings to the RS3?...

Aprilia CEO Ivano Beggio was interviewed recently and a
mention was made that the RS3 provided a likely direct-
ion for future styling. He was very enthused about it, the
waspish flowing bodywork pulled over massive geometric
frame and swingarm. I am too! There's a picture floating
in my brain of an RS3-shaped Mille with shotgun pipes
and three projector headlights arranged in the trademark
pattern, two highbeams over a single low...and it keeps
the sexy as hell Aprilia swingarm too...that'd be a Ducati
