Has anyone had their 05 RVSR Factory Dyno-ed to see what kind of rear wheel horsepower they are getting and if so, what where the numbers?

If you are getting anything under 210 hp at the rear wheel, you got a lemon.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;)

quite a few places (including us) saw 118-120hp on a bone stock bike with low miles, with slip-ons, airbox kit and powercommander with full custom map will get you 130-135hp depending on the dyno.

remember to get a 'before' run done before you do any mods as every dyno reads differently, our old dyno was an eddy current dyno that converted the hp to 'dynojet' hp, our new dyno reads a little lower than our old one.

on the Factory Pro dyno they will read around 105 'true hp'

I can confirm this, although with a 2004 Factory. I got 118.5 bone stock. I just added Arrow slip-ons and Map2, and sometime I'll go back to the same dyno for a comparison.

Clarkie, when you say airbox kit, does that include bigger throttle bodies and stacks?

nah just the basic Evoluzione/homebake airbox mod :)

No s*it! It's amazing how much more power you can get by replacing the dyno.

My '04 Factory is getting 125HP on a Dynojet eddy current dyno (model # )with PCIIIUSB & custom map w/accel pump enabled; full Arrow; Evoluzione airbox & 59mm throttle bodies; no flapper; map 2 remapping; VP Ultimate 4. A/F is spot on all the way up.

I dunno. I put all this junk on and did the Aprilia race mode remap before I ever tested it.

Like Clarkie said, it's the increase that matters. The final numbers don't mean shit. Even if I were only making 115 HP stock, a 15 RWHP increase is pretty damn good in my book.

15hp is an awesome power gain  where did you get it dyno'd?

Jim, dyno your bike with a street 180/55-17 tire on it, i did some testing on our old eddy current dyno and now on our Dynojet 250i and the 'big' Dunlop saps around 7hp on the dyno. not sure why yet but the fact that it does it on both an inertia and eddy current dyno is interesting :)

I'll try that, but probably over the winter.

I did notice that the Dunlop slicks are not very light .. especially compared to the stock Pirellis. Maybe they didn't want their tires blowing up anymore?!?!

Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa 180/55-17 = 13 lbs
Dunlop Sportmax D208GP 180/55-17 = 14.5 lbs
Dunlop Sportmax Slick 195/70-17 = 17.5 lbs

yeah they are definitely heavy but it is all relative i guess, the tire is a lot more stable mid corner so you can get on the gas earlier mid corner. with Dunlops the AMA guys run the softer 'Q' tires have a really soft carcus but need to be stiffer construction so are even heavier again

wow, there is this guy in NJ with a really small pee pee who will be pissed that you are making more power than he is :D
