Can we meet at the Newburgh rendesvous point? Red Apple would be a hike for me as the commute before The Ride.

I am most likely in!!!

Can I just ask one favor of everyone....PLEASE try to be on time. If we decide to meet like 8 to 8:30 or 9 please be there by that time and if you want to relax then come early.

Other than that we just need someone that knows the area :)

There is a guy from ODFU - "one down five up" that wants to join - not a 'Prila owner, but he does have a moto. He knows the area really well. Where/when should we meet? And are we talking about Sat or Sun?

Sorry its Rt300 in Newburgh, NY....right at the McD's in front of Newburgh Mall. Basically Exit 17 from NY Thruway and staight for about 1/2 mi....will be on left side.

Exit 17 from NYS Thruway, then bear right after the toll onto Rt300. Then 1/2 mile on left in front of the mall.

Had to throw in the 'bear right' thing to avoid confusion.

I spoke to Chrman about 1 hour ago. He is not sure if he is coming. We will be meeting at around 8:00-8:30am by Red Apple.

For people that are not familiar where Red Apple Restaraunt is directions are as follows. Take exit 15A on NYS Thruway and go North (make left at the light if you coming from NYC direction). Keep going for about 10-15min. Do not make any turns. If you are unfamiliar with the area I would recommend to keep the speed at the limit because cops are pretty bad up there. Red Apple will be on your right

Great ride today, gents!!!

I didn't know The Red Apple was so close to the other meeting place, otherwise, I would have just met you there every other time!!

I'll start a new thread for a ride at the end of September up to Vermont (Rte 100 is spectacular!).

FalcoLion, we discussed this after you left - everyone there today is in for the Vermont ride.

We had an awesome ride today. As always we got great bunch of guys that just like to ride. We had 4 guys from this forum: Me (Vlad-Falcolion), Vpr80 (Another Vlad), Chrman (Chris) and Rzemyk (Jan) and 4 more guys Jan's friends on japs. Greg (rides VFR) is an excellent guide and knows the roads absolutely 100%. Thanks Greg.

Keep me posted about Vermont ride. I might be in.

It kills me that I missed the ride yesterday.

VT has some awsome roads. My in-laws live near Ludlow and I've ridden up there a bit. The pass over Mad River Glen - oofah. If I'm not in the OBX in Sept., I'll get the family to VT and bring the bike.

Maybe another rider before then??.....

Well, Duggan, there's the Sturbridge Italian Bike Day meeting on September 11 - we can make that a ride. Or you or anyone else can set up a ride any time you please.

By the way, what's the OBX?

duganc

OBX is the Outer Banks of NC. 3 neighbors have rented a 5 family house from 9/17 through 9/24 and want us to join in on the fun.

The Sturbridge sounds good, but it's a 3.5-4hr ride from where I am.

I'll check with my social director and see if I can get some time for a ride between now and then.
