I know that scooter racing (50-125cc) is popular in Europe; is it done in the United States as well? I have a very tricked out SR50 and I thought it would be fun to take it to a race track and see what it could do....

Any input on any sort of unofficial/official racing would be appreaciated.

Hi,
There is scooter racing in the USA. Depending on where you live there are I think three series happening in the USA. There's A.S.R.A. in California. In the East Coast there's M.A.S.S.. And I think there's another one somewhere but i can't think of it right now. You can go to www.scooter.com/ (http://www.scooter.com/) this is a website for a magazine that covers all forms of scootering. It's called Scoot Quarterly you should be able to get at your magazine stores. Or you can order it online. Any other questions let me know.
Thanks
Erik

I know the ESRA does it as well... Their events are run concurrently with our CCS SE & MA events. Some of those guys were getting crazy lean angles at Summit Pt last summer. I found a funny pic from that weekend:

I race scooters w/MASS here in the Midwest. There are more and more autos coming out to play and hopefully there'll be more this coming season.

I race a stock Vespa P200 and a kitted Kymco Super 9 is nearly as fast as my totally stock P2 was last season.

Email me for more info. on racing. There are non competitive track days that have/will be set up for this season. :D

Hope to see ya on the track!!!
