Well I just got back from a great few days with some Aprilia dudes/+, down at the Gap. :cathat: We had a couple of Factory's (Badmotorscooter and 1-G' rider), a Futura, and my ol' 2000.5 Mille. It was stated that three present Aprilias made it a rally, and when the forth arrived, we had a convention! We had others with the group too, an ST1100, a GS1100E, and a Buell Thunderbolt (my apologies if I'm mistaken anywhere here!). As others had experienced, 1-G' rider showed us some southern hospitality by touring us through some additional back roads less traveled. There were some spectacular water fall stops along the road. Thanks again to 1-G! :plus: Unfortunatley I got called back to work/home a couple of days earlier than planned :crybaby: , but I still had a great time, especially running into another great group of riders... :worship: 2 @ Dayton, OH - 3 @ Indianapolis, IN - 1 @ N.C., and 1 @ Cincinnati, OH.

As I've stated before, we need to set up an annual aprilia assault of the dragon each year. This is very doable. Any takers for dates/rain dates?

BTW: I'd like to share that my lodging experience with the brand new Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville, NC, was terrific. Barry and Linda were wonderful hosts! They made the personal experience close to a bed-and-breakfast experience for all. Barry's design having a 2-bike garage next to each room was terrific too. The security benefits as well as not having the nightly dew mess was awesome. Robbinsville seemed to also be pretty much the central location to the Dragon, Cherahola Skyway, and the fun Rte 28.

Thanks again to all involved on this outing! :peace:

Hey Joe had a blast and like i said man just let me know when ya coming back , always looking for a reason to ride even if you guys walked off from me :cathat: . But there is where the ride at your pace comes into play and the faster guys dont mind to wait didnt bother me at all gives a longer break :p: ...The rest of the group from Ohio was Pablo and Addio from here and the others were friends of theres. It was nice meeting yall and riding. The next time down any of yall are down ill take ya on a diffrent route and a lot more twisted with no towns to get stuck in for 20 minutes in 94 degree weather ( ugh) .

Heres a pic of the group up at Fontana Damn and a few odd shoots as well....

1-G, thanks for posting some of the pics! It was sure awesome having an Aprilia convention down in your home town. Yes I agree, if we're down there again in cooler weather, take us through the towns again :p:

In the above column, it sounds like some Aprilia dudes may be down there early Septemberish - Labor Day weekend?

Finally, 1-G could you post that 4 bike shot I took over our tanks? I like the Aprilia advertisement it represents.

See ya

Have a good Holiday weekend and ride 'em hard through the tar-snakes! :rambo:
