I have just got Daytona 600 for the track and it needs tires. I have been on the track before but I am still very much a novice (sloooow). I was wondering what recommendation would you guys have for Brand/Model and what are pros and cons in your opinion. I am also looking for a tire that will last more than 2 trackdays. I do not want full race blown tire. You input would be highly appreciated.

Diablo or Diablo Corsa depending on how much street vs. track riding you'll be doing.

Hey guys anyone else have suggestions? How is Bridgestones, Dunlops or Michelins?

At the Aus SBK School we have Dunlop D208RR's fitted to the Daytona 600 hire bikes. They have been able to last for quite a few sessions, definitely more than 2 days (sometimes the one bike will be allocated to more than 1 person to top it off). These tyres have been able to withstand this sort of punishment on the same bike as yours so I could only reccommend these :)

I have had 208's, Avon 49 & 50 Pros, and now a set of Pirelli Diablos. My favourites were the Avon Pros. Very soft for the track, but wore long enough to be worthwhile. The 208's tended to flop into a turn, I'm guessing due to the profile. The Avon's felt comfortable and tracked very well. I'd have them again if it weren't for the fact that I found a deal on the Pirellis. Parts411.com has them for $109.00 for the rear! I will have the Pirellis on the track June 14, so I'll be able to give them more of a track oriented review.

dunlop 208gp we are able to get 3 track days on the med comp. and the tracks we ride are brutal on tires. if you have warmers im sure you can get more. usaully the mileage is like 300-400 miles. before they will questioned in tech.
