View Full Version : cold weather - not starting

This winter is already colder than last, and on one day this week when it was below freezing, I couldn't start my SR50 Ditech to save my life.

Any one else have this experience, or is my scooter suffering worse than it ought to be (tune-up time?)?

Why doesn't it have a kick-starter, darn-it? Other new fuel injected scooters do!

I think maybe the Ditech just hates sub-freezing weather.

Well the tradiotional solution is to give the fuel tank a splash of carburetor fluid, and to have a well charged battery!

Go try.

Well if you care about the scooter donīt use it in the winter. But if you have to use it anyway, just store the scooter in a garage while not using it.
