I swear that is the spitting image of the Technigas Next. 60? Do you really think that a 60 pipe will really be a lot of benefit?

Sorry, I used to have a Next (I was young and naive, and I had an SR:( ) It wasnt a pleasnat experience. For the two days I had it, the varnish was already cracking off. Dont waste your money.

Pabby, when I saw that pic "Technigas" was the 1st thing that came to my mind.

So I agree with you.

And almost every exhaust maker also sells their silencers seperately.

If you want some "pain"-in-the-ear sound, get a Polini silencer :rollin:

dutch , to my suprise evo pipe is quiter than my old leovinci RS which i had put a streight baffle inside instead of original staggered baffle --

so if you want lotsa noise you need to fit streight through alum silencer because carbon fiber absorb the sound wave

ace ,tecnigas next and leovinci RS desinged to improve stock scooters performance cheaply , if you put a full race pipe on otherwise stock scooter it perform poorly

60 seems to good to be true, look at the prices of the Polini, Yasuni, and various other makes :S

it's a Technigas pipe alright, i had one scooter tuned long ago and it sucked big time. our locally made pipes perform much better than what Technigas can do with their best pipe and cost much cheaper.

ny advise is drop the Technigas pipe like a hot potato. :rollin:

Not sure what you mean by the staggerd baffle.

But the Evo silencer is a straight through alu silencer (we call that a perforated silencer, because of the straight through pipe that runs along the silencer, with holes in it (perforated) and the damping material is roud it.

I'm not sure what or if any leo's do have that, but I do know that leo's also have a big damping thing in the expansion chamber itself.

I did have an old Leo "Z" Alu waaaaay back when I was a scooter rookie, but I never disassambled the silencer, because of the stupid popnails (Ribbits?) that hold it together.

is it possible to put a different silencer on the tecnigas pipe

Yes Lazz. Some might need a little modification to the tailpipe.

Some use 3 screws. some have slip-in silencers (like Polini) but you can take of that slip-on part.

What really is awesome and what is done here often is they fit a Giannelli RS silencer on their pipe. And the RS silencer is HUGE with gives the pipe a real racy look. Expansive though aprox 100 / $100.

Polini does kevlar silencers, but I have never ever seen one in real life. Always the alu's.

that's strange does every polini exhaust pipe come with an aluminum silencer? do you mean that the kevlar silencer version was never sold on the Dutch market? i wonder why?

02-24-2003, 05:51 AM
the pipe tiba sent be has fiber silencer ,not sure its carbon or kevlar

stagered means its not one streight pipe but 2 pipes in zig zag inside silencer to reduce noise
