View Full Version : Race Clutch

What is the best way to set up a Polini racing clutch? I was told by the supplier to switch to the heavier springs and leave 3 threads showing but how do I really determine at which RPM it should engage? My engine stopped the other day and there was smoke coming out of the trnsmission assembly air outlet, so I assume that my setting is allowing the clutch to overheat. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you could have set the clutch engagement rpm too high, loosen up the nut a bit, you must make the clutch engage at 7,000 rpm and that is for near stock or mild road set-ups. do you have airvents on your transmission cover?
