I bought a mallosi kit for my 2002 bike last week, when I was fitting it i got all the way down to the cylinder over the piston wich was already connected. when I slid the cylinder down it got stuk on the crankcase. It was to big!
When I phoned them up (taffspeed racing in wales) they said "oh yeh yours is the newer model so it won't fit that one!" as if I hadn't just realised that! they didn't tell me this when I purchased it.
does any body make a big bor kit for the 2002 model?

im not sure but i seem 2 remember this happenin b4 with sum1 and i think it turned out to be a tamper device that could be filed away. Not 100% sure but hope thats all it is. Some1 on here should no more about it.

this happens aswell on the aprilia MX50 supermotard bike. i have an aprilia rx50 2001 model and a mate has a 2002 MX50-both with same engine and exhaust but the 2002 MX50 has a smaller exhaust port so my old KUNDO pipe wouldnt fit his bike. anti tamper bolts are also on his carb manifold which prevents him taking his carb manifold off for an upgrade unless he has this special tool to remove it.

taffspeed always make @#%$ ups-they sent my mate a 21mm carb kit without a new throttle cable-how stuuupiddd can u get

your best bet would be to contact MARCEL or KARIN at info@50cc.nl - im sure these will help you more

the differences between the 2002 and the 2003 are as follows... two anti tamber bolts on the inlet manifold(like a alen bolt but with a nipple in the middle) cylinder is a few mm smaller so after market cylinders are too big, but i should imagen soon the after market cylinders will be avalible in the smaller size, and the exhaust port is a lot smaller, so if u replace the cylinder you'll have to change your exhaust and vis versa. thats all the ones i know of at t he moment.
