Ok 2004 RSVR. I am looking for more mid range and am trying to keep power band the same. Stock is 16 front and 40 rear.
HELP SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!! because I may have to buy a new chain to make it fit.

This is what I did,and I can't immagine a better gearing.I went down one in the front and up one in the rear, and wen't to a 520 chain.I have gone 163 with room to spare as far as RPM's go.The low and midrange is insaine!!!!It's absoutely perfect.Buy the way it's like going up 3 1/2 in the rear.4 would have been too much and 1st gear would be a waste of time, and i don't belive that 3 would be enough.Leaning foward you can keep the bike stable in 1st and you gotta love those 2nd gear roll on wheelies,Only if you want,by the way.You can nail it in 2nd and keep the front end down as well.Good luck:peace:

16/42 works fine for me.

15/42 is just great - go for it, no chain mods required. Careful on the 1st ride out as the headstock will attempt to embed itself into your helmet in 1st and 2nd gears, you'll definitely need to adopt your'e style keeping a liitle more weight over the front :D :D :D
grin factor is guaranteed to be maxed out
