Its a road race which takes place between Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine in N.Ireland with 100 000+ spectators. Spectacular road racing thats what it is.http://www.irishroadracing.co.uk/news/news.htm

Cool thanks! I thought I had heard of that race I was thrown by your location. To me it looks like Colorado with the CO.

Ever since the first time I saw the Duke video of this event, I have been wanting to go. I have provisionally set a date for 2006, as this would be the 100th year of the IOM TT and would give me another reason to jump on a plane and go back to the isle. Is the NW 200 always at the end of May??? If so the timing would be perfect.

What are the housing conditions like? Should I bring a tent or are there other options? Somehow, I have got to bring/get/rent a bike too...

Anybody ever gone to the nw200?

probably be up for that are you taking the leisurely 'fly no bike option' or going on't bike ??? daft question but someone needs to ask I sppose...

I'll be riding there as usual. Its a good ride up to the ferry at cairnryan and then a nice blast over to the north west.
The NW200 is usualy held in the middle of may but I 'think' it depends on the BSB callender. Accomadation is good but you need to book early or there is usualy a campsite near the circuit.

If you want good accommodation for the 100th IOM TT, book it NOW! Even the camp sites will be busy if you leave it too late.
