I have a 2010 RSV4 Factory and I'm installing new tires myself. However, removing and now reinstalling the rear axle has been extremely hard. I had to hammer it out and then hammer it back in. Before I tighten everything down I want to see if this is normal or do I have a problem I need to dig into?

Had this rear off many times, it happened to me also that it didn’t want to cooperate however, if all aligned properly, axle should slide in by hand and maybe a love tap with rubber mallet. Make sure your caliper bracket is “free” and straight, sometimes the brake lines will put a bit of twist on it.

Take a close look at the spacer inside the wheel, between the bearings.
