Have too much invested in my 17 to get this one but for $195.00 may order those trick carbon brake ducts.

Really glad they brought back the ‘Factory’ moniker for their production SBK range-topper, and also got back to including the carbon bits like they used to...as it really does add value to the package. REALLY happy they didn’t go with electronic suspension and there’s no more ‘Superpole’ graphics. Never been a matte fan either, so I’d probably do my normal practice of visually turning it into a ‘12/13 Factory colorscheme-wise.

Yeah I think they did a great job with the bike and think it's worth the money. If I hadn't got such a good deal on a leftover 18 I probably would of waited it out to get one.

I think it's sick, and agreed on the wheel color. Everyone complaining about it being 10 years old out there, I don't get it. If the chassy is still awesome and the engine tuning and all the components surrounding it keep getting better and better, why not perfect it. If you want new for the sake of new, wait on the RS660?

Price wise, I guess accounting for inflation and overall super bike values it is almost comparable to the RSVR factory prices mid 2000's. Sounds like the new S1000RR is going to run about $24k with all the comparable bits.

To me the RSV4 is like a 911, They keep tweaking it, adding technology and refinement. I just bought my 18 6 months ago and would do it again, I don't care if it's not refreshed maybe it's better because it's not all new. And the fact that it's so competitive vs the other 1L out there, I'm fine with that.

ĎMaybe itís better coz itís not all newí.
Possibly very wise words.Have a good weekend sir.

Also, is it actually carbon fiber or the faux shit like the front fender on my 2018 model?

ABS plastic textured to look like carbon fiber.

Also not a fan of the scoops attached to the fairings.

Real carbon on it. Plastic rear fender though.

I'd assume the scoops/wings can be removed, as you would expect to be able to replace them in a crash scenario rather than the whole side faring piece.

Holes would be left. You’d have to get new panels too. Same mounting as the LE

Could you fill them with silicone & put nice Aprilia stickers over them. ;)

Or maybe some black blanking buttons

My local dealer (Optimum Performance in Krkland WA) was awesome and offered me a test ride on the 2019 RSV4. OMG, what a bike! So smooth and civil at low speeds, even with the taller gearing, and immediate pick up when you twist the throttle. This bike is for winning races. In comparison, my 2018 Tuono with a slip on and a tune is wilder at speeds up to 100 mph. But for ultimate speed and lap times, the RSV is the bike to own. It is an awesome bike, folks! It is the bike I wanted my S1000RR to be, with that awesome mid-RPM range pull and a screaming top end.

I’ve replaced my S1000rr with the 1100 Factory and I couldn’t be happier. Just had the race map and Akra installed and ready for some trackdays.

Wait, the 1100 Factory already comes with Akrapovic can. Or you are talking about a full system?

The standard Akra and cat was changed for the slip on and race map on Thursday with the first service.
