Pity it’s 1100cc really, makes it totally irrelevant from a race perspective. I guess change the engine to the 1000cc unit and you would be good to go. Looks awesome otherwise.

Google translated:

“This year, 10 springs have been completed since the first of the Aprilia RSV4s was presented in Noale. That machine of four cylinders and four times with mechanics inspired by the Grand Prix bikes came to production with the firm purpose of revolutionizing the Superbike World Championship ... and achieved it by achieving four titles.
Now, the Italian laureate supercar is close to ending its commercial life and, to dismiss it, from Italy launch the Aprilia RSV4 X, a wild beast with 225 HP for 165 kg and a price within reach of very few.

During the 10 years of life of the RSV4, the Aprilia has proved to be a fantastic motorcycle that only with a few updates has remained one of the most competitive frames in the series of motorcycles derived from the series, but nothing is eternal. When an upcoming model renewal is expected, Aprilia has wanted to honor its beloved RSV4 with a limited edition that adds to the existing ones.
This Aprilia RSV4 X takes its four-cylinder engine in vee to 65 degrees one step beyond that of the RSV4 1100 Factory, going from the 217 HP of that to the, hold on, more than superb 225 HP of this X. But the modifications they do not stay in a simple potentiation.
Wrapped in a carbon fiber fairing reminiscent of the livery used on the Aprilia RS-GP19 and also using the aerodynamic appendages on its sides, this transalpine machine uses from a competition push button panel for electronics to Marchesini forged magnesium rims, Pirelli slick tires and an even more advanced electronics inherited directly from the racing versions with a specific tuning for the performance of the new engine.
Akrapovic titanium / carbon exhaust line, high-flow air filter, gearbox with revised ratios or the not-cheap Brembo GP4-MS brake system complete a customer racing package that, unfortunately, may not end up treading one more circuit than for the photos.
And is that only 10 units of this Aprilia RSV4 X will be made, one for each year of life of the model, and for which its suitors will have to pay a price of 39,900 euros through a specific web page. In exchange for this price each owner will receive his motorcycle and a visit to the Aprilia Racing center where they can pick up their machine.”

Roughly $45k USD. I think the takeaway here is that there is a new model on the horizon, not just another revision.

Seems to have a new type gearbox, wonder if Aprilia will use it sometime in future on the road-going V4:s

It's basically an FW 1100.

Bunch of journalists tested the 1100 factory today.
Should be some good video reviews on it.
I'm wondering if any will get to test the X.

I am guessing marketing move and Aprilia needed $400k quickly...
looks nice but I will wait for the 660

I love it except for that X decal on the front, style looks totally off to me.

I think it's more like... hey those guys on the forums and the internet won't stfu about a 10th anniversary edition bike. We have to do something.
Hey FW department, any ideas?
Yeah, we can massage an 1100 real quick and you guys come up with a paint scheme based on the MotoGP bike.
Yeah, lets do that. Boom. It's done.

Hmmm. Heading to Noale late June, you ‘spose they’d let me take her for a rip? :D
