Hi folks

I own a 2012 RSV4 and found the traction light is lit and won't go off even after clearing the coupons.lately I found the bike stopped showing the speed reading for which I have pulled out the rear wheel sensor and cleaned and put it back. I still see no reading.

I have ordered the rear wheel speed sensor from af1 and would like to seek help on how to replace. I am good at the wheel end not sure where it is connected on the other end.

Will be a great help if any videos or photos that can be shared got my references.

Cheers

Naveen

Hey guy !
I’ve done a APRC conversion on my 2010 and speaking exclusively from that experience.
The “other” end of the speed sensor is a quick connect as circled in the picture. On the 2010 the two ends met on the “passenger” / right side of the subframe under the seat. Shown location in the pic. 2012 connector is black, opposed to the one shown (2010).
So, remove saddle, run a visual, may have to remove right side of tail fairing and trace the sensor wire.
Worst case scenario, which is no big deal either, may have to remove the tank.
Hope this helps a bit and good luck and have fun ! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190206/a59018a3f986608d9080bbb9122ddc2f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190206/6716c19f0cc9af375216083cdb31b1d5.jpg

Did you test the old sensor per the procedure in the Service Manual?
Very easy to do.

Replacing parts without first testing to verify if they are indeed faulty is not only wasting $$ but also wasting time.
